My name is Delphine Pastore, I am the founder and CEO of BeyondMyPeers BSMD Consulting. Born and raised in France, I am classically trained and received a degree in literature and linguistics from the University of Strasbourg and am versed in gifted education. Having lived in the United States for 20+ years, I have taken on a multitude of roles that have allowed me to become intimately familiar with the ins and outs of the education system. As a teacher at the high school level in New York and an adjunct professor at the college level in Colorado, I have always been drawn to helping students of this age-group find their respective paths in life.

As my children progressed through their education, my passion and curiosity for the American world of college admissions grew. In the years before my oldest child entered high school, I took a deep dive into admissions strategy, learning from a multitude of sources and eventually crafting my own approach. My friends from coast to coast began to ask questions about the process and I was soon peer-appointed as their children's informal counselor and source of college admissions advice and insights. 

 

When my oldest child reached her Junior year of high school, she decided to tackle the feat of applying to 17 BS/MD programs. Despite knowing so much about the college admissions process, BS/MD programs were an entirely new concept to me, but I did just as I had done before- I dove right in. As my daughter's personal BSMD coach, we navigated the process together, enduring the grueling months of essay writing and application crafting, the elation of receiving multiple interview invites, the inevitable rejections, the nerve-wracking weeks of interview preparation, and finally the grand privilege of being able to choose between multiple program acceptances.

As a result of this process, I have found that my true passion lies beyond college counseling and rests among the intricacies and intense strategy of BS/MD program admissions. I have now counseled hundreds of students from across the nation and overseas, offering both the expertise of years spent dissecting BSMD admissions and understanding what it takes to be an ideal candidate, but also offering the support and emotional guidance of a mentor who has now experienced the year-long process of applying to these programs multiple times.

I am honored to have the opportunity to take part in such a pivotal moment in these young students' lives. Stemming from intense passion for the process and deep knowledge of the system which I am constantly expanding, I am confident that our partnership can yield wonderful results.
